Cencr:(I dining t'lan <br />The property buundaq has be~ht survcytxl on site and the permit area will be surveyed prior to <br />any site disturbance. \1ap C-3 shows the training plan. <br />The gravel zone is approximately ZG feet thick in an alluvial deposit and is overlain by soil and <br />overburden ranging from 6 inches to 20 legit. The deposit will be mined in a fi~ur pit sequence, <br />beginning with the southwestern-most pit. The southwest and southeast pits (Pits I S~), along <br />with the southern ph;ues of the hvu large northern pits (('its ? & ~lj, arc un the lower terrace <br />while the northern halves of Pits 3 &t 4 arc on a terrace approximately ZO feet higher. Overburden <br />and utpsuil will be rcnuwed via either hulldorcr or scraper in all pits, establishing a 2H:1 V slope <br />in wch pit. Initially, in Pit 1 (sett Map G?)overburden and topsoil is stockpiled to the immediate <br />northwest of t}te pit. l;lwn completion of the mining of Pit 1, the overburden stockpile will be <br />used to build both the ?H:I V reclaimed slope and the wetland shelves as shown in Map F-I. The <br />overburden and topsoil removed liom Phase I of Pit 2 will be placed in Pit 1 to complete the <br />wetland shelves. The tbllowing phases' overburden will be placed in the preciously mined out <br />phase(s) w build 311:1 V rc~aaimed slopes and wetland fringe. the initial overburden and topsoil <br />Crom fits 3 ~~ 4 will be set aside, with the overburden of each phase being placed in the <br />previously excavated phase. The set aside overburden and a>psoil will he used to reclaim the <br />final phase of each pit. <br />the maximum total tonnage sold from the site in any one calendar year is approximately 70U,OCx) <br />tuns, though the expected annual average is 60p,000 tuns. The raw material will he sold to three <br />products: sand and gravel, conrrcte. and asphalt. .~ break down ol'the product tonnages and <br />minr.i t~mn;::;rs c:ut he sere in Table D-1.
