2.05.3(3)
• q. Eauipment and Material Storaae Yard
Reference drawing E8-3446. The area where
equipment and materials are stored.
h. Overland Convenor
The overland conveyor system that delivers
coal from the Sanborn Creek mine to the dump station or to the coal
stockpile areas. Typically 42-inch wide supported on grade
partially covered. See drawing E-3207R for the alignment of the
conveyor.
i. Coal Sampling Svstem
A two stage coal sampling system to be
installed on the belt that feeds the coal silo. The system
includes a primary sweep sampler that will periodically sweep a
sample of coal off of the silo feed belt. The primary coal sample
will fall into a chute that will deliver the coal to a small
crusher and a secondary sampler. The reject coal will be conveyed
back to the belt by a screw conveyor. The secondary sampler and
crusher will be enclosed in a small metal building. See drawing E-
3207R.
• j. Loadout Weigh Svstem
A 72-inch conveyor belt with a belt scale
installed under the coal silo. The belt which will be about 100-
feet long, will receive coal from the gates under the silo and
convey the coal to the east where it will be discharged into rail
cars. The sole purpose of the belt is to pass the coal over the
belt scales. The belt and belt scales will be installed in an
engineered metal building about 100-feet long. The eave height of
the building will be about 30-feet. The loadout weigh system is
shown on drawing 5-033.
k. Noncoal Waste Storage
The area where noncoal waste is stored.
The storage area in the east yard will typically contain waste
paper, lumber, pipe, supplies, cardboard etc. The storage area
near the dump station will typically contain scrap metal. Waste
oil is stored in an above ground storage tank near the
shop/warehouse. A metal storage shed located near the rock dust
bins contains numerous barrels of which may be categorized as
noncoal waste. See section 2.05.4(2)(f) for more details and
drawing E-3207R for the location of the storage areas.
• 2.05 - 9iii
Rev. 1:11-25-92
