Excuse me for my tardy reply; I have been out of the office lately.
I believe you have everything correctly identified as to what to do
Please send us copies of the certified mail receipts when xgt{,gen~rour letters to the County Commissioners and
the Soil Conservation people. Please remember that you need to send a complete copy of your application and
all materials to the Clerk and Recorder's Office so anyone that wants to can view the application and all
supporting materials. Do not have it recorded, just placed in the office for viewing. -- -
The Rules require a sign to be posted at any public entrance to the mine site. Given the altitude of your operation
and the time of year, I think it would be more appropriate to place a notification sign down at the road entrance
near Granite, Colorado (where you usually place your sign advertising your operation). All operators who apply
for amendments and new permits must do the same.
Once the Division of Minerals and Geology gets the final materials and calls the application complete, we will
notify you and then you can publish once in a newspaper of general circulation in the area of the mining
operation. We will then go through an adequacy review and ask any questions that we need to so we can try to
make sure that it is clear to all parties involved what the permit requires for reclamation upon completion of the
operation. This review is also used to identify tasks for recalculating the reclamation bond, if necessary.
