Mr. Bob Oswald
29 August 2007
Page Two of Five
Photo 2- from bridge to mill: This view shows what remains of the mill taken from the entry
road to the property. The only major concrete foundation left at the mill is the foundation for
the fine ore bin which is shown in the photo. This foundation is in the process of being
demolished and will be used for fill just in front of the foundation. The area will then be
covered with fill and contoured. The MLRD permit for Camp Bird Colorado, Inc. is posted on
the cut off power pole and is clearly visible from the gated bridge. The remaining electrical
boxes on the power pole below the permit sign will be removed.
Photo 3-from creek to west: A general view of the lower area taken from the embankment
along Imogene Creek. What remains of the mill foundation can be seen on the left (this will be
removed and the whole area graded) and a small pile of debris is on the right hand side. This is
all that is left of the mill-core storage building and will be pushed into the settling pond. The
historic manager's residence is visible in the background.
Photo 4-lower area from the upper dump: Another general view described in the above photo.
This photo shows a better view of what is left of the mill foundation on the left side of the
photo. The steep bank shown just beyond the mill foundation will be used for covering the mill
slab.
Photo 5(a) overlook from road to Revenue; Photo 5(b) overlook from road to Revenue; Photo
5(c) overlook from road to Revenue; Photo 5(d) overlook from road to Revenue: These four
photos show the genera] view of the mill, Imogene Creek, and the 14 level portal area. It can
be seen the considerable amount of reclamation work that has been accomplished in the last
three weeks. The culverts, junk and concrete slabs that were in the creek bed have been
removed. The west side of the creek has been partially terraced. All of the concrete
foundations for the primary crusher building have been removed or buried. The mill
foundation is about 60% demolished and transported to the settling pond. The mill-core
storage building has been completely demolished. The power line to the secondary substation
and the substation have been removed and cleaned up. Most of the buildings in the 141eve1
area have been demolished and the stem walls and concrete slabs broken up and transported to
the burial area.
Photo 6-portal and former shed: A view of the demolished snowshed covering the 141eve]
portal.
Photo 7-portal to the north: A view of the portal area showing what is left of the ancillary
buildings. All of this material will be transported to the burial site at the far end of the dump.
Photo 8-portal to west: A general view looking towards the manager's house. The scrap
timber in the center of the photo will be burned.
