<br />Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. <br />Permit No. M-1974-069 <br />APR 2 81006 Page 1 of 5 <br />Followin are res onses to the comments ~~ro ° e ~ e'ala ndG~ol~ogt~ <br />g p p ~ d by t~e llMCi in their adequacy review of <br />Larimer Pits Amendment No. 3 Application, dated Mazch 27, 2006. <br />6.4.4 EXHIBIT D - Minine Plan <br />1.0 Loveland ready Mix Concrete, Inc. hereby verifies that the spill containment and <br />countermeasure plan in place for the Larimer Pits operation will apply to all areas to be <br />permitted including the additional 7.74 acres to be permitted under the terms of this <br />amendment. All gasoline, diesel, oils, ad mixtures, and low PH soap are stored and will be <br />stored in the azea of the batch plant and shop. <br />2.0 None of the permitted area has been released from reclamation responsibility. The <br />reclamation status of the Lazimer pit site is as follows: <br />North of the River: <br />Cell #1 No reclamation work remains to be completed at this pit. This is an <br />unlined groundwater-fed pond. <br />Cell #2 This unlined groundwater-fed pond has been reclaimed but portions of it <br />may be used for inert fill disposal. <br />Cell #3 No reclamation work remains to be completed at this pit. This is an <br />unlined groundwater-fed pond. <br />Cells #4 &5 These two pits have been combined to form Storage Pond #1. No <br />reclamation work remains at this location. <br />Cells #6 &7 These two pits have been combined to form Storage pond #2, this pond has <br />been completely lined and has been recently tested and approved by the SEO. <br />Approval was received from Dave Nettles on April 11, 2006. We have not <br />.received written confirmation at this time. Topsoil needs to be spread on the <br />banks down to elevation 5,000 and seeded. Costs have been addressed in <br />Exhibit L. (1,400 cy of topsoil, 2 acres of seeding) <br />Cell #8 This is the active mining area. We have resloped the eastern end of this pit <br />but no seeding had been done. We will seed some portions in Fall 2006. <br />There are about 13 acres left to mine. See Exhibit L for estimated quantities. <br />Celt #9 We are currently spreading topsoil on this area and will reseed it this Spring. <br />Associated costs have been addressed in Exhibit L. (Reseeding 6 ac) <br />Cell #10 This is the subject of this amendment; no mining has been done at this <br />location <br />South of the River: <br />
