Tnis work will involve remroving any structures and then
removing the top two (2) feet of overburden material. 7fiis material will
be hauled to the pit and buried under four (4) feet of non-toxic cover.
The area then will be ripped to a depth of twn (2) feet and topsoil re-
distributed. The area will be revegetated using the same seed mixture
that will be approved for the active mining. The reclamation ~.ork for
these areas will be initiated upon termination of mining.
5) Pdditional Work Being Initiated - Mr. Robert Thompson of CTL
Thompson has been contracted to do a stability and overburden swell
study. The swell information corN~ined with the geologic data and
accurate mapping will be used to generate meaningful overburden volumes.
Once these volumes are obtained, TBM will be able to derronstrate that
they can rreet the AOC requirements.
TBM has proceeded in good faith to obtain the information needed to
finalize a sound mining and reclamation plan. At this time all the
information is not available and TBM would request that the information
put forth in this report be sufficient to satisfy the abat~nent conditions
required in NOV 80-27 and 80-28. TBM will supply the additional information
required by the NOV's in its permanent program sulinission.
If you have any questions concerning the above, please contact me
at your convenience.
Sincerely,
~~~ %~
RIC}-LARD MILLS
Senior Environmental Coordinator
RM/cs
Enclosures
ee: Mr. Jimmy Renfro
cc: Mr. Mike t~Carthy
