The proposed wetlands which will be disturbed and hydrological support of those wetlands to be
mitigated will be discussed in the mitigation plan. See Attachment 9.
The primary use for the Site after mining is for a water storage reservoir. This reservoir will be
lined so as to minimize any evaporative losses from the ground water. An additional, smaller
lake will be established on the eastern side of the Site which will not be lined. This is the location
where the wetlands mitigation will occur.
Enclosed, you will find the required copies of letters to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and
State Historic Preservation Officer as well as the plant species list. See the Table of Contents for
the proper attachments.
This application package contains all materials for your consideration of a PDN application for
the nationwide permit. If any further information is required or if you have any questions, please
do not hesitate to contact the undersigned at 980-2424.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Curt L.
