Cooley Gravel Company currently operates the South Dahlia pit <br /> immediately south of the proposed site. Cooley plans to begin mining the Dahlia <br /> North Resources Pit in June, 1995. <br /> The mined product from the present operation, and the proposed pit, is convey north <br /> across the river to the Thornton plant for processing. The majority of the Dahlia North <br /> Resources Pit will be lined with a slurry wall (Fig. 1) prior to mining. The two areas <br /> not lined, Area 1 and Area 26, will be wet mined. <br /> Enclosed with this plan is a check for $1,403, the plan application fee of $1,343 and <br /> the well permit application fee of $60. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The Dahlia North Resources Pit will consist of approximately 157 acres of mined area <br /> in the alluvium of the South Platte River. Enclosed is Exhibit C-2, Mining Plan Map, <br /> which was prepared for the MLR9 112 Permit Application. Exhibit C-2 shows the area <br /> proposed for mining. The area is subdivided into smaller areas. Also shown is the <br /> location of a slung wall which will be installed prior to mining the interior. <br /> Page 7, EXHIBIT G-1 <br />
