6. Mining Timetable
The following timetables are the best estimate of the sequence of operations for the life of the mine
after August 2004 and are based on selling 400,000 tons of total product per year. This production
is an estimate. Due to market conditions and other factors, the mining production may be different
than this estimate. Reclamation is included in this timetable since reclamation will take place
immediately after the mining of each phase.
As described in the general mining plan, Stages A and B will be mined concuttently. As seen in the
tables below Stages A and B will terminate at roughly the same point of time, which will be
approximately 20 years. At which point the operations of the two Stages will combine to mine the
remaining Phases. The tables below show that the general mining plan will first strip the topsoil
from the Phase ahead, while mining the current Phase and reclaiming the Phase which was last
mined. From stripping the topsoil in Phase Al to the final reclamation in Phase 17, approximately
32 years will pass. The topsoil and overburden stripping will only occur approximately 5 to 6 days
per year.
Table D-4: Mine Schedule
Stage A
Task # escri lion ime needed ears
1 Stri to soil from Phase A 1 .02
2 Stri to soil from Phase A2, and mine Phase Al .75
3 Strip topsoil from Phase A3, mine Phase A2, and reclaim Phase
1 .67
4 Strip topsoil from Phase A4, mine Phase A3, and reclaim Phase
2 5.02
5 Stri to soil from Phase 5, mine Phase A4, and reclaim Phase A3 5.40
Total 19.84
Haldorson Sand and Gravel Mine 16
