Through the mining of the pit, groundwater is not expected to be encountered, so no pumping will <br />be necessary. If water is encountered during the mining of the pit, material will be brought back in <br />and will be backfilled to a level two feet above where the water was encountered. <br />3. Mine Facilities <br />Temporary facilities (those that can be moved off site at no cost) consist of the following: <br />- 2 crushing, screening, and washing plants each containing 2000 gallon fuel tanks <br />- stacker conveyors <br />- portable mining equipment <br />- storage materials <br />- one office trailer <br />-a portable truck scale <br />- a portable 8000 gallon fuel tank with containment for supplying the mobile equipment. <br />- a portable concrete plant including a 5000 gallon fuel tank <br />- a portable asphalt plant including a 5000 gallon fuel tank <br />See Table D-3 below for a summary of the fuel tanks onsite as well as the type of containment. <br />All of the portable facilities will either start in Phases Al, and B1; or in both depending at the <br />discretion of the operator in order to meet production needs. All portable facilities may move from <br />Stage A to Stage B throughout the mining of the two Stages, but will combine at the conclusion of <br />Stages A and B in order to meet the production needs of mining the remaining Phases. <br />No blasting will take place on this property, nor will explosives be stored within the permit area. <br />Haldorson Sand and Gravel Mine 14 <br />
