I'1
1
34
1 them. There is No. 1 right up there, and there is No. 4.
~,
2 Somewhere in between are 2 and 3.
i, 3 This is photographed 1983, okay. And showing the
4 access road. There is No. 4, 3, 2, 1. So they start to become
i,
5
distinguishable in terms of their location and
the amount of
6 disturbance has obviously increased through tim e. It's been a
i^ 7 continuing process for a long time.
' 8 This is May 1984. This particular photograph shows
9 clearly that the landslide--that it's occurred in disturbance No.
~' 10 1. And it's not just a result of pushing some debris over. It's
~~ 11 a bona fide landslide--has reached to bottom of the drainage way.
' 12 S
we hav
i
h
l
f hi
t
di
t
b
i
ances
o
e a c
rono
ogy now o
s
ur
n
s
or
c use or
' 13 terms of these four--No. 4, 3, 2, and 1.
14 I have examined this aerial photographs two months
~, 15 before these were taken. A stereo pair photographs where I can
16 get three-dimensional viewing. The landslide was not i'.here two
' 17 months before this picture was taken.
i, 18 The limit of disturbance area No. 4 was largely two-
19 thirds of the way down the slope relative to the edge of the
20 road. It was two-thirds the way down the slope. That means that
21 it progressed a third of the way down that slope in less than twb
' 22 months, okay, indicating a very quick--relatively quick failure
23 of that roadway and material.
'
24 This, again, shows--and I am not sure what--
88--that
' 25 is a closer view that shows the landslide right down to the
