i <br />Water, Waste & Land, Inc. . ~ Statemen{ of Qualifications <br />3 <br />GEOTECHNICAL/MINING DIVISION <br />The Geotechnical/Mining Division applies engineering skills and experience to <br />support studies related to water in the areas of: <br />• waste containment facilities, <br />• earthen dams and reservoirs, <br />• stability analyses of cuts and fills, <br />• engineering for closure and reclamation of sites, and <br />• earthwork construction and quality control. <br />DIVISION INTERACTION <br />Both divisions, while separate in specific focus, interact on virtually every project <br />we undertake, supporting each other with technology transfer and critical project review. <br />Our ability to successfully implement effective solutions is largely due to the <br />communication and close coordination that exists between the two divisions. <br />The chart on the next page illustrates the organization of the firm and ipentifies the <br />principal staff members in each division. <br />FIRM OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT <br />Water, Waste & Land, Inc. is an employee-owned consulting firm, Stockholders <br />are either full-time employees or corporate consultants of the firm. The Board of Directors <br />oversee the long-range planning and direction of the firm, while the day-to-d$y handling <br />of work loads and priorities is managed by officers of the firm. This ownership and <br />management structure aids in providing a consistent quality of work products and <br />consulting services. <br />
