A typical equipment list for the underground operations is presented in the upper portion of Table
D-2 and a typical equipment list for surface operations is in the lower portion of Table D-2.
Table D-2
Mining Equipment List for Underground Operations
Description Number on Site
Unde round E ui ment
Diesel Loaders, 2 - 5 cubic and ca aci 2
Diesel Trucks, 2 - 10 ton ca aci 3
Develo ment Drills, Jumbos 1
Production Drills, Jackle s 6
Surface E ui ment
Front End Loader, 2 - 3 c ca aci 1
Hi hwa Haul Trucks, 22-ton ca aci 2
Water Trailer 1
Pick-up Truck,'/<-ton (4wd) 2
Note:
All equipment is provided by two separate contractors: Mining and Haulage
Jumbo drills operating on compressed air will be used to drill the blast holes and rock-bolt holes
in the decline and laterals. Air jacklegs will be used in production areas. All blasting operations
will be conducted in accordance with MSHA regulations (30 CFR Parts 56 and 57). Blast holes
will be loaded with an electric blasting cap, chemical booster, and a mixture of ammonium nitrate
and fuel oil prills. The blasts will be initiated electronically with the hole pattern, firing
sequence, and delays designed to allow for optimum breakage. Explosives and detonators will be
stored in underground magazines and transported from the magazines to the working face in
accordance with MSHA regulations (30 CFR Part 56 and 27 CFR Part 55). Currently the mine
decline extends 4,000 feet south and is at and average depth of 500 feet below the ground surface.
Based on the distance from surface facilities and depth of the mine workings, explosives are not
expected to adversely affect any on-site or off-site surface areas.
The ore and waste rock will be mucked out using low-profile diesel loaders. Depending on the
size of the opening, the loaders will vary in capacity from 2 to 5 cubic yards. Ore will be hauled
to the surface using low-profile diesel haul trucks with capacities ranging from 2 to ] 0 tons.
During initial decline and lateral development, the waste rock will be hauled to the surface and
placed in the WRA. Waste produced during subsequent development and production will be
disposed of at the WRA.
5-18-2007 Exhibit D Mining Plan D-12
