<br />DISTANCE PROHIBITIONS <br />Roads: No public roads within 100 feet of the mining. <br />Dwellings: There are no dwellings located within the vicinity <br />of the surface disturbance at the mine. <br />Public Buildings, Churches, Schools, Etc.: None in the area <br />of the mine. <br />Cemeteries: None in the area. <br />Protected Public Lands: None in the area of the mine. <br />SUBSIDENCE <br />Subsidence monitoring is being done along the alluvial valley <br />floor only. Eight monuments have been installed along the <br />railroad track for monitoring purposes. The monitoring <br />appears to be done in accordance with the approved plan. <br />There was no surface indication of subsidence in this area. <br />The other areas of the mine outside of the dis*_urbed area was <br />not checked for subsidence problems. <br />OTHEP. <br />Disturbed Areas: Three areas at the mine had disturbance from <br />mining without approval. These areas were the coal stockpile, <br />which ilad expanded beyond its approved limits; an area north <br />of the railroad where coal had been deposi*_ed in the horse <br />pasture as a result of runoff leaving the mine; and one area <br />had non-coal waste deposited at tYie outlet of the railroad <br />culvert in Ciruela Canyon. DMG issued a NOV addressing these <br />areas. <br />EXISTING ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS <br />There were no outstanding enforcement actions at this mine at <br />the time of the inspection. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS FROM THIS INSPECTION <br />Federal: Ten-Day Notice number 93-02-352-002 TV1 was issued <br />for failing to require approval of the permit transfer. <br />12 <br />
