• Historical and operational information for the Boulder Feeder Canal and other
irrigation ditches has been collected and assessed;
• The monitoring well and piezometer network around C-Pit has been completed,
and instrumentation has been installed to track water level data;
• Two rounds of groundwater sampling have been conducted, with no evidence
of contaminant migration observed;
• A down gradient compliance well has been installed in the Fort Hays
Limestone unit at the eastern extent of CEMEX's property.
In addition, the majority of the exposed water in C-Pit has been eliminated by filling the
pit with inert fill, and the remaining water surface (less than one acre) has been covered
with netting.
Please confirm that the proposed schedule for completing our study and reporting by
August 31, 2007 is acceptable.
Sincerely,
.~G~e~.e~e. ~rrdv~~'
Monica Sowders
