<br />Memo to File M-88-112 <br />DRAFT "Scope of Work" <br />page 2 <br /> <br />A specific guideline will be prepared (Task 2) for the C ntractor's <br />use in the conduct of the sampling activities. The preparation of <br />this guideline will include familiarization with the monitoring <br />required of BMRI in the permit documents, familiarization with the <br />sampling and analytical protocol (TR-006), and the prepar tion of a <br />brief letter report summary of the Contractor's sampling <br />guideline. The guideline will be submitted to the DMG contract <br />administrator for review and comment. The guideline will be <br />revised appropriately in response to direction from the D G <br />contract administrator. This guideline will be provided o BMRI. <br />Summary reports (Task 3; Note: Task 3 also includes the s mpling <br />activities) will be prepared subsequent to the completion of each <br />sampling event and the receipt of the analytical results rom the <br />chosen laboratory. These reports will include a summary f the <br />sampling activities, sampling observation documentation, 'chain of <br />custody" documentation, the verbatim analytical results f om the <br />laboratory, with comments on unusual or unexpected result and <br />recommendations for minor sampling changes, if indicated y the <br />analytical results. These anticipated activities are inc uded <br />within the contract cost projection. <br />In the event that DMG determines, on the basis of third p rty <br />sampling, that monitoring data from the tailings facility by BMRI <br />is inaccurate or unreliable, the DMG contract administrat r may <br />request the contractor to prepare an estimate of work eff rt <br />required to complete an in-depth evaluation of the proble , <br />including additional sampling and analysis, and recommend tions for <br />modification of the sampling and analytical protocol, if eemed <br />appropriate. If the DMG contract administrator concurs w th the <br />recommended additional activities, an appropriate Change rder to <br />the contract will be requested.
