Having discussed my concerns regarding the original proposal with Dr Ann S.
Maest, PhD of RCG/Hagler, Bailly Inc. late on Friday, August 21, 199 I
propose the following "Scope of Work" be included in the "Third Part
Monitoring" contract to be executed between Battle Moun~ain Resource Inc.
and RCG/Hagler, Bailly Inc. This draft reflects significant modific tion of
the scope of work proposed by Dr. Maest and a minor addition to the stimated
Direct Costs.

Pre-sampling activities (Task ll will include: Preparinglfor
sampling at the site by completing the safety training de med
appropriate, and administered the Colorado Division of Mi erals &
Geology's Office of Active Mines (previously "the Colorad Division
of Mines"). The appropriate certification will be obtain d and
maintained by the contractor for presentation upon reques The
Contractor will also complete whatever safety indoctrination is
required and administered by BMRI at its mine site. No c st will
be invoiced by the contractor for this mandated activity.
