Mr. Jim McRrdle
November 5, 1985
Page Two
4. Sediment discharge into Plum Creek stopped the day of
the inspection and has not commenced since then. Discharge
into Plum Creek will not take place again unless compliance
with MLRB Rule 116 (1)(h) is in effect.
5. Topsoil is no longer being hauled off-site. Topsoil has
beett hauled in. At this time, there is an estimated 15,000
yds3 or more of topsoil on-site - enough to reclaim the
disturbed area at a 6-12 inch depth.
6. Aftez the area below and East of the 5560 elevation line is
reclaimed, this area will remain undisturbed. The new
operator will comply with the 150 fcot setback from Plum
Creek unless an amendment is approved.
7. Request Technical Revision of the phasing and timetable of
the mining plan. The entire operation is to be one phase.
Mining will be in effect with contemporaneous reclamation
at all times.
One mining phase concurs with bonding as the financial
warranty is set for total reclamation of the entire site at
any one time.
If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
TUTTLE APPLEGATE RINDAHL, INC.
Heidi Hirsh
Director of Natural Resources
HH/~d
File No. 85-0203
cc: Lawrence Construction Company
Cooley Gravel Company
