<br />• grayish-brown loam- The loam subsoil is about 11 inches thick. <br />The material below a depth of about 16 inches is very pale brown <br />loam that grades to sandy loam. The approximately 7 feet o£ sandy <br />loam makes excellent binding material for Otero County"s road base <br />material. <br />(ii) Nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material to be <br />mined in sedimentary deposits: <br />The subsurface stratum over which the gravel deposits are located <br />is made up of consolidated and unconsolidated clay materials. <br />(g) Identify the primary and secondary commodities to be mined and <br />describe the intended use: <br />Primary commodities are sand and gravel.
