June 24, 2003 -23- 003-2203.7 <br />. • Soil description (ASTM D2488); and <br />• Bulk specific gravity (ASTM C 127). <br />Golder conducted appropriate tests as required by the specifications for UF, SSF, FSB, LDF, <br />Subgrade Structural Fill, SF, SLF, BF, LVSCF, DCF, and SDCF. <br />The laboratory test results are summarized in Tables 5 through 16 and presented in Appendix I. <br />4.1.1 Grain Size Distribution <br />Golder analyzed the grain size distribution (gradation) of samples of UF, SSF, FSB, LDF, SF, SLF, <br />BF, LVSCF, DCF, and SDCF. The results of gradation analyses are presented in Appendix I-1 and <br />summarized in Tables 5 through 14. <br />Golder performed one CQA gradation of UF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per <br />1,659 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 5,000 cubic <br />. yards. The CQA gradation of OF met project specifications. The OF CQA gradation results are <br />presented in Appendix I-1 and summarized in Table 5. <br />Golder performed one CQA gradation of the SSE The testing frequency (approximately one test per <br />1,297 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 50,000 cubic <br />yards. The CQA gradations of SSF met project specifications. The SSF CQA gradation results are <br />presented in Appendix I-I and summarized in Table 6. <br />Golder performed three CQA gradations of LDF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per <br />34 cubic yards} exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 10,000 cubic yards. <br />The CQA gradation of LDF met project specifications. The LDF CQA gradation results are <br />presented in Appendix I-1 and summarized in Table 7. <br />Golder performed four CQA gradations of SF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per <br />47,341 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 50,000 cubic <br />yards. The CQA gradations performed on SF met project specifications.
