Golder performed CQA laboratory testing of grain size and Atterberg <br />limits. <br />• Golder monitored the installation of High Volume Solution Collection System <br />(HVSCS) piping and High Volume Solution Collection Riser Plates. Golder <br />visually verified that pipes were installed to the lines and grades shown on the <br />plans, and that the riser base plates were installed per the plans. <br />• Golder monitored the ambient air temperatures and the temperatures of all fills, <br />including SLF, in accordance with project specifications. <br />1.2.2 COA/COC Monitoring of Geosynthetics Installation <br />Golder provided CQA monitoring of geosynthetics used for the Phase Nb PSSA. CQC services <br />provided by Golder consisted of performing geosynthetics inventory and checking quality control <br />certifications prior to geosynthetics deployment. Golder performed geosynthetics CQA activities in <br />accordance with the CQA Plan. Geosynthetics CQA activities performed by Golder included: <br />. • Observation and documentation of geomembrane deployment, trial seams, <br />seaming, destructive testing, and non-destructive testing (pressure tests and <br />vacuum tests); <br />• Performing conformance testing of geomembrane and geogrid; <br />• Measuring geomembrane panel thickness and confirming adequate panel overlap; <br />• Visually inspecting geomembrane sheet quality, sheet grinding, seam alignment, <br />and continuity; <br />• Retaining archive samples of geomembrane destructive tests and trial seams; and <br />• Observation and documentation of geogrid deployment for remediation of <br />underground workings. <br />13 Project Coordination <br />Golder CQC and CQA activities were directed by Golder. The Golder Resident Engineer For the <br />period February 2001 to December 2002 was Mr. Bob Nichols, and the Golder Project Resident for <br />the remainder of Phase Nb PSSA construction was Mr. Ron DiDonato. The Certifying Engineer, <br />Mr. John F. Lupo, Ph.D., P.E. or his representatives (Ms. Kimberly Finke Morrison, P.E., R.G., <br />• Project Engineer, and Mr. James M.
