Golder Associates Inc. (Golder) has prepared this letter for the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining
Company (CC&V) regarding Request For Information (RFI) No. 101 submitted by Ames
Construction. RFI No. ]Ol requests grading the 10' x 10' area beneath each base plate to be flush
with the rest of the sump pad. The original design required recessing the base plate area
approximately 6" for placement of transition materials beneath the base plates.
Golder has reviewed the request presented in RFI No. 101 and agrees with the request as this will:
1. facilitate field fitting the collection pipe to the risers; and
2. reduce the amount of geomembrane welds in the sump.

This RFI is approved provided that additional haunching of the collection pipes be provided. Each
pipe should be hand packed to provide adequate support.
Golder appreciates the ongoing opportunity to provide engineering services for the Cresson Project.
