Lyons Mine Permit No. M-1977-208. A copy of the <br />March 6, 2003 letter is included in Appendix A for your reference. An additional letter <br />with bearing on Reclamation Bond calculation for the site, received from the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology (referred to as Division herein), has also been included in <br />Appendix A. Banks and Gesso, LLC has addressed each of your comments, provided <br />information regarding cost assumption, some of which was included in the previous <br />submittal, and provided a revised demolition and disposal cost estimate. <br />Response to Comments <br />Response #1 <br />The office buildings, primarily located in the administration area, are constructed of <br />concrete, and as such, are already included in the cost estimate. See Appendix B for <br />additional concrete volume information. Machinery and building contents do not need to <br />be included in the cost estimate, as stated in the March 6, 2003 letter from the Division. <br />Steel structures, tanks, utility lines and conveyors have been quantified and the cost to <br />demolish and dispose of these items/structures is included in the cost estimate. <br />Calculations are included in Appendix C. <br />Response #2 <br />No aggregate processing or sale will be assumed. <br />Response #3 <br />Alf of the concrete will be disposed of in an onsite disposal area. The area has been <br />delineated on the site plan included herein. Additional information regarding the <br />disposal area has been provided herein. A Technical Revision to the permit will be <br />submitted to the Division within 60 days of posting of the financial warranty as allowed in <br />the April 7, 2003 letter to Cemex from the Division. Steel structures, tanks, utility lines <br />and conveyors will be removed to an off site landfill.
