Soil Amendment Plan: In order to ensure that along-lasting vegetative
cover will become established on the reworked waste rods piles, soil
amendments will likely be necessary. The specific type and quantity of
soil amendments will likely vary at the d'lfferent waste rods areas due to
their varying exposure aspects and slope conditions as well as soil
characteristics. The reclamation cost estimate (see Item (f); below] has
included provision for the application of representative soil amendments
(lime, fertilizer, and crimped straw) as per the approved plan in the Permit
No. M-83-141 file.
ReSeedinst Plan: Once appropriate soil amendments and fertilizers have
been introduced into applicable Surface areas, re-seeding will be carried
out in accordance with the approved seed mix. Seeding will be carried
out either in late fall or early spring utilizing broadcast seeding methods.
The specked seed mixture (in pounds pure live seed, or PLS) for all
revegetation areas is as follows:
Slender Wheatgrass -Native: 4.4 Ib./acre
Western Wheatgrass -Native: 8.4 Ib./acre
Meadow Brome -Paddock: 1.0 Ib./acre
Arizona Fescue -Redondo: 1.4 Ib./acre
Little Bluestem -Native: 8.4 Ib./acre
23.6 Ib./acre (PLS)
(d)
(e)
As with terraced areas, random placement of large boulders and deadfall
timber will be employed to faalitate vegetation growth and wildlife habitat.
Post-Reclamation Surface Features
As indicated above, post-reclamation surface features at the Cash Mine
and Who Mine will be consistent with the approved reclamation plan
contained within the Permit M-83-141 file.
For those new features to be erected in the Mount Royale adit area(s),
refer to Section 1(f), below.
All roadways will remain in place followir
fadlftate access the various mine feature
Berming, water bars, ditches, and culverts
mitigate erosion potential, and the roads wi
for post-closure maintenance requirements,
suppression purposes, as warranted.
Other Features
g termination of mining to
~s in the immediate area.
will be retained in order to
I remain generally available
forestry access, and/or fire
Mount Royale Ventures, LLC recognizes that there is a potential for adit
bulkheads to be required subsequent to the termination of mining
activities through the Mount Royale No. 1 (and No. 2) Adits.
