EXHIBIT D -RECLAMATION PLAN
(1) RECLAMATION PLAN
Permit No. M-83-141 already has an approved reclamation plan for areas
of disturbance associated with the original permit area configurations for
troth the Cash Mine and the Who Do Mine areas. Reclamation of any/all
incremental surface disturbance at those areas will be generally
consistent with the approved plan content and approach.
Cash Mine Area
Since approval of the existing reclamation plan, the Cash Mine waste rods
pile has been substantially reconfigured as a result of the removal and
relocation of a major portion of the waste rods material by a prior operator
(drea 1998; ITEC Environmental Colorado, Inc.). As a result, the areal
extent of the waste rods pile (disturbance) footprint remains relatively
unchanged; however, significant waste rock volume has been removed
and the roadway now descends through the former waste rock area. The
resultant ground surface is now characterized by a relatively flat area in
the northeast portion of the area, and is generally comprised of original
suficlal materials (decomposed granite) interspersed with non-recovered
remnant or residual waste rods material generally consisting of random,
angular, non-mineralized rods fragments and fines. In general, it can be
stated that the desired post-mining topography has been largely
established at this feature; reclamation will be carried out per the existing
plan.
tNho Do Mine Area
Since approval of the existing reclamation plan certain exploration and
adit rehabilitation work was conducted in the Donald R Adit in conjunction
with activities carried out under a prior Notice of Intent (Prospecting
Permit). This resulted in the placement of a limited volume of waste rods
on the southerly extent of the northernmost arm of the existing Who Do
waste rod< pile. However, the footprint area of the waste rods pile
remained within the previously permitted area and any assoclated
reclamation requirement is adequately addressed by the in-place Cash
and Who Do Mine Permit (M-83-141) reclamation bond. Accordingly, the
presence of this material does not materially effect the scope of
reclamation requirements as contained within the approved reclamation
plan, and reclamation at this area will be carried out per the existing plan.
Mount Rova/e Mine Area (New Disturhancel
This submittal is for an Amendment to existing MLRD Permit No. M-83-
141. Reclamation requirements spec to new disturbances in the Mount
Royale Mine Area are individually addressed in the following sections,
and the proposed post-reclamation topography is depicted on Exhibit E-
2(B) -Reclamation Plan.
Exhibit D - Raclamatlon Plan
