Forest
Service Lands in the valley and they sre already leasing
31 claims From Charles l~gg on Spencer Mountain to the south
of Eldora.
Charles "Rinx" Rugg has filed a lawsuit sgainat Thames Hartley
and Durango Meta.le for removing ore under the pretext of
prospecting and for milling it a9Gold Hill without paying him
hie $¢ royalties for the minerals extracted. This is on record
at the Boulder County Justine Center for public perusal, should
you desire more details.
In short, because of the blatant mining infractions that have
occurred at the Gold Hill Mill, we in the Eldora Civic Associa-
tion are in the position of wondering what kind of hazards we
are facing with a menager of questionable repute in charge of
the Mogul Mine, We lolly support the Gold Hill Citizens Group
in their effort to block CCM, Ino.'s permit at Gold Hill and
hope that the Mining Board will carefully scrutinize operations
by this eampagy and Thames Hsrtley both in Gold Hill and in
Eldora.
Sincerely,
~'
Diane J.
