Colorado under lease from Charles Rugg. This
operstion has been going on for approximately two years and
has severely disrupted the tranquility of the town of Eldora.
The most obvious source of disruption io mni'ae"£rerp a6Npi*ssaors, detona- '
tiona of explosives and heavy machinery dosing mine tailings,
The Mogul '1linnel is loested in the very center of town and
readings of over 55 decibels have been taken on the opposite
side of the valley. Dump trucks also contribute to the noise, '
and last Bummer residents reFOrted an excess of 25 double axis
trucks leaving the Mogul Mine,
The tailings dump hss st least doubled in size a.nd we are
concerned about water quality not only for our own community,
but also for Nederland and Boulder downstream. The Mogul tail-
ings File is separated from Middle T?oulder Creek only by a
narrow dirt road, and as you are swore, we have had heavy
precipitation and runoff this spring and auuuner.
f
. _
l /~, I}~ ~/
• r..~1Vi
w
r ~ ~ ~~
1..~0 "rtr
r- , ~ n t4. ~~~ ,~
