~~ <br /> <br />j- <br /> <br />Costilla County Gravel Sites, 08/24/95, page 2 <br />03/28/95 Jim Stevens called commissioners to inform them of a <br /> significant groundwater issue at the Landfill Pit. <br /> Inspection report sent to County. <br />03f29/95 Letter from County reiterating their commitment to <br /> correcting all the gravel pit problems, and explaining <br /> that County records were eiezed by the State, hampering <br /> efforts of resolution of problems. <br />04/03/95 Letter to County from Bob Oswald explaining the second <br /> continuation of the Sierra Grande violation. <br />04/03/95 Letter to County from Mike Long, explaining Board's <br /> concern with widespread problems, and a request for a <br /> proposal which should address bringing all sites used by <br /> County into compliance. Letter requests submittal by <br /> 05/24/95 meeting, and invites operator to be present. <br />05/23/95 Bob Oswald spoke with County Administrator about last <br /> minute info to bring Board up-to-date concerning <br /> application for Sierra Grande, and the requested <br /> proposal for all their sites. <br />05/24/95 (NO proposal or other written info submitted.) <br /> Discussion item on agenda, to hear proposal from County. <br /> Only an updated statue report was possible to give. <br /> (Operator not present.) <br /> Board wanted all items at all sites satisfactorily <br /> corrected, or County will be sent notices. If County <br /> can be present at June Board for discussion, ok. But <br /> formal public hearings will scheduled for unaddressed <br /> items, after June. <br />05/31/95 County is seat a Notice of Possible Violation (of a <br /> Board Order) for Sierra Grande Site, because of lack of <br /> any application submittal. <br />06/21/95 Board meeting at which operator was present to verbally <br /> present proposal outlining act iv itiea to be taken at all <br /> problem sites, in discussion item. <br /> Bob Oswald assists operator to fill out 110 application <br /> for Sierra Grande Site, is the office. Materials <br /> submitted and application fee paid. <br />06/23/95 Barb Chiappoae sends letter to County explaining several <br /> items missing, making Sierra Grande application <br /> submittal incomplete. <br />07/06/95 Bob Oswald inspects four gravel sites with County <br /> Administrator. Miaiag again observed to be occurring at <br /> illegal Sierra Grande Site. Some of the same problems <br /> were also still found to exist at Castilla dl <br /> (permitted) pit. These issues were discussed with <br /> operator at sites, and reiterated in inspection reports. <br />07/14/95 Notice of Possible Violation, for not complying with a <br /> Hoard-ordered cease and desist at Sierra Grande, seat to <br /> operator.
