For purposes of the <br />cost estimate, we will assume that the topsoil will be placed by <br />machinery. <br />RESPONSE: Topsoil will be transported and placed on the graded tailings and <br />slopes of the embankments using machinery. The cost estimates for <br />this work were based upon the calculations for topsoil replacement <br />presented on page L-5 of the approved permit. <br />50. In order to grade the facility, it would be necessary to allow <br />tailings to dry so that equipment could work efficiently. Please <br />include the cost of dust control during the grading of the facility. <br />Pease provide an approximate square footage of the mr11 facility <br />for purposes of estimating its removal cost. <br />RESPONSE: The costs for two 3,500 capacity water trucks to operate for six <br />months is provided in revised Exhibit L. <br />The square footage of the mill facility is included in revised <br />Exhibit L. <br />51. Please include the costs of continued monitoring of the wells, <br />piezometers and leak detection system (including water levels, <br />obtaining, preparing and analyzing samples) for a period of at least <br />five years after site reclamation is complete. Please include the <br />cost to remove the 48-inch culvert from the south embankment. <br />RESPONSE: The costs for monitoring for five years following site reclamation <br />are included in revised Exhibit L. <br />The cost for removal of the 48-inch culvert is included in revised <br />Exhibit L. <br />52. The cost to deliver and place riprap in the collection pond upon site <br />reclamation should be included. <br />RESPONSE: Riprap for the collection pond will be transported to the area during <br />the initial years of the mining operation for storage until needed <br />for final reclamation. A cost for placement of that riprap has been <br />included in revised Exhibit L. <br /> <br />
