i:~ -
El Paso County is currently moving massive amounts of material out of
Rocky Mountains pit (Sokol pit) at this time. More so than ever before
witnessed. This is disturbing on several fronts. One from the standpoint of
ethics in what would appear at face value as aquid-quo-pro, because the
County will soon be hearing land use ,zoning, and transportation issues for
these very same applicants. Second, because the applicants wishes to
expand this from the original permit amount. Could this massive
movement of material by the County and of private haulers be only to
expedite the finalization of the original permitted gravel pit, thus
immediately be able to expand this operation.
I would like to thank you for taking my concerns into consideration
regarding this proposed gravel pit expansion.
Sincerely,
Dave Doran
10155 Soapweed Road
Calhan, Co 80808
