RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT E
C~
~~
1. Introduction
As previously stated, the mining of the pre-law waste gravel piles, highwalls and other
disturbances will provide many benefits to improve the site. The most important benefits aze
listed below:
1) Rid the site of waste gravel piles that have swelled in volume from past mining and aze
unsightly from all directions, including the town of Alma.
2) Provide a more natural smooth landscape that can be used to benefit the town, the owners and
wildlife.
3) By strict salvaging of fines from the processing plants of both the gold and gravel operations,
a substitute topsoil will be made to cover the vast majority of the site prior to revegetation
efforts. This will result in much improved vegetation for the entire site.
4) Provide wetland fringes along ponds that will be left on site in open space areas that can also
be used by wildlife.
5) Reclaim old highwalls left by past pre-law mining operations to the extent possible. As
mining continues on the site, money will be available to gradually backfill or cut/fdl these
highwalls. These highwalls will be reduced to a slope of 2H:1 V or less, if material is available.
6) Develop the final site with commercial land use along Highway 9 and residential/open space
use east of highway 9.Open space areas will also be used in floodplain azeas and some adjacent
areas of the River, as shown on Map F.
7) Continue to provide a 33' fishing right of way (walk in only) from the centerline of the Rivet
to the east bank of the River on Tmst property.
Map F shows the final topography and land uses of the site.
Alma Placer 7/03
37
