One of the letters is addressed to DMG, from David Graham & Stubbs
requesting that DMG arrange a site visit for Basin Resources and its representatives to the Tatum property.
The other letter is addressed to Walton D. Moms, from Davis Graham and Stubbs, which discusses the
recently cancelled visit to [he Tatum property, and [he reason that [he Tatum property visit is requested.
The request to arrange a visit was originally conveyed to the DMG in person on November 15, 2000 and
the DMG contacted Ms. Tamm on November 16, 2000. Ms. Tatum directed [he DMG to advise Basin
Resources that such a visit should be coordinated with Mr. Walton D. Morris. The DMG acted in
accordance with the instructions from Ms. Tatum, and on November 16, 2000 contacted Davis Graham and
Stubbs with the instructions. It was our understanding that the requested site visit was to occur on
November 21, 2000. We understand that the visit was cancelled.
We hereby reiterate our request that both Basin Resources and Tatum representatives work together to
arrange a site visit to the Tatum property in [he near future. We believe that the visit is best coordinated
through the cooperative efforts of both parties to avoid the need for Mined Land Reclamation Board or
Court orders. I[ is our understanding that Basin Resources has requested the site visit because the DMG
issued Notice of Violation CV-2000-009 against Basin Resources alleging damage to the property,
resulting from Basin Resources mining operations. Basin Resources has requested Mined Land
Reclamation Board consideration of the enforcement action. It is also our understanding that the Tamm's
prefer to conduct the visit with their legal representation present.
Again, we request that both the Tamm and Basin Resources representatives work together to coordinate the
site visit as soon as possible. Please notify us as soon as such arrangements are confirmed. Thank you for
your continued cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely, ,
~.'
~; D id ferry
f Program Supervisor
