After the bridge is
removed by taking out the rail cazs and the concrete footers, road base will be removed
from the azea of the driveway, and packed soil will be loosened. 6 inches of topsoil will
be placed on the azea of the driveway, which will then be seeded using the grass seed mix
and application rates, above. Weed free straw mulch will be applied at a rate of
approximately one ton per acre.
Minimal reclamation will be required where dredging of the water ski lake will occur.
The pump and barge will be removed from the property along with the flexible discharge
pipe that will be used to convey dredged material to the mining property.
Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan Map
A Reclamation Plan Map is combined with the Mine Plan Map in Exhibit C.
Reclamation of the azea currently covered by M-2002-113 will occur as approved by that
permit. When dredging of the ski lake is finished, no reclamation will be required after
removal of the flexible pipe used for pumping dredged material to the mining acreage of
the 124th Estates Sand and Gravel Mine. Additional reclamation of land used for the
alternate crossing of the Fulton Ditch will be reclaimed as described in Exhibit E.
Exhibit G -Water Information
Surface water in the area of the 124' Estates Sand and Gravel Mine includes the Fulton
Ditch, which runs between the two principle mining azeas of the 124 Estates Sand and
Gravel Mine; the 20 acre lake belonging to the Henderson Water Ski Club, and the South
Platte River, which is approximately 0.5 miles to the west. The activities proposed by
this Application to Amend M-2001-085 will have no significant effects on these surface
waters. Construction of the new Fulton Ditch crossing will occur in the winter, when
there is no flow in the Ditch. As the ski lake is dredged, some water will be incidentally
pumped from the water ski lake with sand and squeegee; however, this water will drain to
the retention basin along the northern edge of the mining acreage and be returned to the
ski lake.
The groundwater resources of this azea, including shallow wells within 600 feet of the
5
Application to Amend 124`" Estates Partners
DMG Regular 112 Reclamation Permit M-2001-085 124`^ Estates Sand and Gravel Mine
Prepazed by Scott Keen -September 2003 Henderson, Colorado
