(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of June 29 through July 5, 2003. The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures ranged from 44° F to 59° F, and highs ranged from 70° F to 87° F. Weather observations were made on four days of this seven-day reporting period. Construction Synopsis Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IVb construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb construction activities on four days of this seven-day reporting period (June 30 through July 3). Poly-Flex conducted Phase IVb construction activities on three days of this seven-day reporting period (June 30 through July 2). Phase IVb Ames conducted slope re-contouring, compaction, and SF removal in the Phase IVb OSA on Substation Hill, east and upslope of the Phase IVb PSSA. Ames continued excavation of the Phase IVb OSA geomembrane anchor trench on the Phase lII ore slope 9636 elevation bench, excavating approximately 300 lineaz feet of anchor trench in preparation for geomembrane deployment. Ames also backfilled approximately 400 linear feet of Phase IVb OSA anchor trench on the south facing slope of Substation Hill near the Secondary Crusher.
