(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction <br />Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of June 29 <br />through July 5, 2003. <br />The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 44° F to 59° F, and highs ranged from 70° F to 87° F. Weather <br />observations were made on four days of this seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IVb <br />construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb construction activities on four days of this seven-day <br />reporting period (June 30 through July 3). Poly-Flex conducted Phase IVb construction activities on <br />three days of this seven-day reporting period (June 30 through July 2). <br />Phase IVb <br />Ames conducted slope re-contouring, compaction, and SF removal in the Phase IVb OSA on Substation <br />Hill, east and upslope of the Phase IVb PSSA. <br />Ames continued excavation of the Phase IVb OSA geomembrane anchor trench on the Phase lII ore <br />slope 9636 elevation bench, excavating approximately 300 lineaz feet of anchor trench in preparation <br />for geomembrane deployment. Ames also backfilled approximately 400 linear feet of Phase IVb OSA <br />anchor trench on the south facing slope of Substation Hill near the Secondary Crusher. <br />
