The mine I.D. sign nuw reads Poc:derhorn Coal <br />Company. <br />Topsoil markers were in place. These will have to be changed following permanent program <br />approval to reflect the new permit number. <br />Perimeter markers will have to be placed around that portion of the permit area to be <br />affected by surface disturbance following permanent program approval. <br />4.03 Roads <br />The road system was generally well maintained. However, there was a dust problem on the <br />road from the Cameo mine to the Cameo refuse pile. The road was watered later during <br />the inspection, relieving this problem. <br />4.05 Hydrologic Balance <br />1. A defined channel from the treasure island clarification pond overflow has been put <br />in. The channel follows the road and exits into the primary discharge channel from the <br />clarification pond. <br />2. A culvert has been installed under the road on the east side of the Cameo refuse pile <br />to replace a ditch. <br />3. The first culvert southeast of the Cameo refuse pile was cleaned out as requested in <br />the previous inspection. However, the downstream side was covered during grading operations. <br />An extension may be required to keep this culvert open. <br />4. The second culvert southeast of the Cameo refuse pile had the downstream end partially <br />crushed. This should be repaired so the culvert functions properly. <br />5. The sump near overland conveyor transfer tE2 was mostly filled. It was evident that <br />washdown water had overtopped. There was some erosion below the sump. <br />
