3. Post-Reclamation Site Drainase <br />The area azound the main lake will drain to the lake. The area azound the augmentation pond will <br />also drain to the pond. Other azeas aze basically flat and generally maintain a slight drop to the <br />northeast to the River. These grades will be maintained. <br />4. Weed Control <br />This azea of Montrose County is known to have some weeds of concern such as the thistle group <br />and knapweed. Western Gravel, Inc. will take extreme care in preventing weeds from establishing <br />infestations in the permit azea by doing the following: <br />1) Each mid-April, a noxious weed survey will be made of the permit area <br />2) If any noxious weed patches or plants have been identified, they will be sprayed by backpack <br />sprayer or 4-wheeler using chemicals approved for use by the Weed Management Commission of <br />Montrose County. This will be done within 2 weeks after the inspection when the weeds aze most <br />vulnerable. Care will betaken to spot spray where possible to avoid killing desirable broadleaf <br />plants. <br />3) After reclamation of portions of the site and after final reclamation, weed surveys and spraying <br />will continue until the perennial cover and production of the site have met DMG requirements and <br />bond release has been obtained <br />The Division and Weed Management Commission of Montrose County will be consulted regazding <br />any weed infestation azea and any control measures prior to their initiation. The plan does not <br />contemplate total weed removal on the property, especially the removal of some non-noxious <br />weeds. Past experience shows that some initial weed cover in the first year following retopsoiling is <br />North R-34 Pit 1/07 <br />15 <br />
