4. Concurrent reclamation will be done on the west and central areas of the original 110 permit area and
the northwest ridgeline areas of the site within the current amended (112) 18.45 acre permit Tlris
azea has been muted (or had no gravel present to mine), paztially re-graded and sloped and can be
readily reclaimed. D~Ir. Gray has requested that the operator clean-up, finished grade and seed the area
as soon as possible. Prior to any disturbance into the proposed expansion area, that area will be
finished graded have topsoil applied and be seeded.
The 5.30 expansion area is to be used more for reclamation activities rather than for aggregate mining
operations as the gravel reserves in the expansion area will not be mined due to extreme overburden
thickness. The 5.30 acres will be disturbed as part of the reclamation activities a[ the site in order [o
reduce possible remnant high-wall sections or steeper than 3:1 slopes. The currently bonded 18.45
acres will be partially reclaimed before the fatal reclamation at the site so the full proposed 23.75 acres
will not be disturbed by mining, only by the reclamation at the site. The applicant feels that the bond
can be kept lower as the final site disturbance will be during the final site reclamation
5. ~1 copy of the approved Montrose County Weed Control Plan was included in the original application.
:lttothet copy is attached.
6.
