Rule 2.05.3 (8) -Continued
Energy Fuels has not constructed and does not plan to construct any
coal processing waste or non-coal processing waste banks, dams or
embankments nor any other type of processing waste storage facili-
ties. All coal is simply crushed at the tipple and loaded onto
trains with no other processing occurring. For this reason Rule
2.05.3 (8) does not apply to this application.
(9) Underground development waste
A narrative and appropriate maps and cross-sections prepared to
meet the standards of 2.10, describing the proposed disposal methods and
sites for placing underground development waste and excess spoil gene-
rated at surface areas disturbed by surface operations and facilities,
according to 4.09. Each plan shall describe the geotechaical investiga-
tion design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal, if
appropriate, of the structure and be prepared in accordance with 2.05.3
(6)(b), (c) and (d).
Except for the excess spoil already in the permanent overburden
stockpile in Section 24, there will be no additional excess spoil
and therefore no new designated disposal area will be necessary.
Some underground development waste will occur as a result of one to
two feet of roof of the underground mine being removed to enhance
stability. However, this rock viii be disposed of in the mined out
pit at the surface mine to achieve the approximate original con-
tour. This mined out pii is referred to as the "Water Retention
and Roof Rock Disposal Pit" on `lap 6, Energy `line No. 3 Kine Plan.
Z.OS - 32
