• ~ iiiiiuiuin~iii
Egviroqrr~eqt, Ir~c.
LARRY E. O'BRIAN
PRESIDENT
May 16, 1997
Mr. Thomas Schreiner
Division of Minerals and Geology
Minerals Section - South
1313 Sherman St. RM 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Tom;
RE: Siloam Stone
Muller Pit, M-97-018
Reclamation Plan
7985 VANCE DRIVE, SUITE 205A
ARVADA, COLORADO 80003
303323-7297
R'
RECEIVED
MAY 1.61981
pivlsion or Minerals & Geology
On behalf of our Client Siloam Stone I am submitting this letter
to clarify what Siloam Stone will do to resolve the Cease and
Desist order issued by the Mined Land Reclamation Board on March
26, 1997. Part of the plan will involve reclaiming certain areas
as described below, having the board reconsider their ruling on
part of the area (stone yard) and including the rest of the area
in question into a permit so mining can continue. I have used
the map supplied by Adience, Inc. as a basis for the attached
map. This map misrepresented the existing permit boundary.
Review of the file and comparing the original maps with our map
will show we have the correct outline. I then qualified the
areas of actual disturbance outside the original permit boundary
instead of blocking in the areas between where Siloam disturbed
and the pre law disturbances. This dramatically reduces the
amount of area Siloam is responsible for reclaiming and better
reflects what activities that took place at the site. Review of
my map shows that Siloam Stone was actually responsible for
disturbing 7.71 acres ± outside the permitted area and operated a
Stone Yard covering another 2.26 acres ±. I believe the area
shown on the map are very generous and if we had more time to
research aerial photos of the site we would find the actual
disturbed areas are less than shown.
In the following text I will discuss how Siloam Stone will
address and deal with each area of disturbance shown on the map.
