Battle Mountain NOPV Abatement page 5 Gold Requirements tailings area contents, described in item (4), BMG shall submit sampling methodology, sampling locations and sampling protocol for tailings cyanide and metals content monitoring to the Divison for review and approval. Further, BMG shall appropriately amend its entire environmental monitoring plan, including ground and surface water, air, and rocessing circuit monitoring, to reflect all amendments completed in compliance with these NOPV abatement requirements. These amendments shall be submitted in connection with the various amendments. Status: Satisfied - BMG has committed to the submittal of a r~vised monitoring program in a letter of April 1 1992. (10) Amendment of Financial Assurance: As required by statute and regulation, any permit amendment or revision approval will entail reevaluation of the cost of the entailed feclamation components. BMG will be required to appropriately amend its surety to reflect any increased reclamation cost. Any amendment or revi#ion application submitted by BMG shall include an appropriate evalpation of the implications of the requested plan modifications for the reclamation cost. Status: Satisfied - BMG has agreed to comply in letter of April 16, 1992. (11) "Critical Path" Project Management Schedule Common methodology and practices may serve more than one abatement plan task. Multiple tasks may occur simultaneously and may impose Significant simultaneous performance burdens on BMG and the Division. In corder to recognize potential mutual benefits and to avoid conflicts and delay, BMG should develop, maintain and implement one comprehensive, integrated "critical path" project management schedule for the abatement lan tasks. The project management schedule for the BMG abatement plan tasks may be complicated. Schedule maintenance could be facilitated by the use of project management computer software (ie. ON TARGET, Harvard P oject Management, TIME LINE, etc>, which could be obtained by BMG an~ the Division. This would accommodate efficient electronic exchang of progress information. The schedule should be formatted as a d~taited "critical path" project management schedule. The schedule should be divided into discrete task elements.
