Deft. of ~'atura! R~seerce4
I am in receipt of your letter of September 2, 1981 to Mr.
Chuck Webster, a copy of which is attached hereto for your
reference.
Please be advised that I represent the Estate of Ellis B.
Webster, Deceased which is the owner of the Sand and Gravel
properties referred to in your September 2, 1981 correspondence.
The Estate was under the implication that Mr. Peter Cosgriff,
an attorney in Leadville, Colorado, was working with your
Department concerning the resolution of its complaints con-
cerning the Sand 6 Gravel operations. I regret that the
matters were not resolved.
I attempted to call you on the telephone on September 11, 1981
to request the vacation of the hearing scheduled for September
23 and 24. I was unable to reach you and by this letter formally
request that the matter be continued until such time as the
Estate is able to retain local counsel to represent its
interest before your Department and proceed with the application
for the appropriate permits. I am looking forward to dis-
cussing this matter with you on the telephone, but in the
interim would request your indulgence to allow the Estate more
time within which to appear before the Land Reclamation Board.
Would you please respond in the premises at your convenience.
very truly yyurs,
September 14, 1981
Joseph Fattor
JF/lh
