Memo - The 6MRI File
Status of "Third Party Sampling"
page 3

(17) On October 6, 1992, Oean Massey forwarded the original; of the MGU,
executed by Andre' J. Douchane representing 6MRI, to the Divisicn for
Mike tong's signature.
(18) On October 6, 1992, Anne Baldrige of EMRI, forwarded an amenQed version
of the "Amended Sampling and Analytical Protocol" (TR-006) fir inclusion
as an exhibit to the Contract.
(19) On October 7, 1992, Harry Posey returned the original;, signQd by Mike
Long, to Dean Massey for inclusion as an exhibit to the Contract for
delivery to RCG for their signature.
(20) RCG informed Dean Massey that then desired thirteen amendments to the
text of the Contract on October 8, 1992.
Dean Massey and I had been operating under the assumption that RCG had
no objections to the earlier Contract other than those raised by the
State of Montana. This proved to be a mistaken assumption. This turn
cf events, following the prctractad, time-consuming and cestBy exchange
of the previous mcnth, resulted in virtual disintEgraLion of the
negotiations between 6MRI and RCG.
(21) With my concurrent?, 6h1R' ooEned negCtiations with lJast?, Wart?r and
Land. inc.
