<br />MINUTES, DECEMBER, 1984 <br />AGENDA ITEM 79 - FORMAL PUBLIC HEARING, ROCKCASTLE, CONTINUED <br />PAGE 23 <br />Testimony was heard on behalf of Rockcastle Company from Mr. George Robinson, <br />consultant for that company, and Mr. Tom Dapp, contractor employed by The <br />Rockcastle Company. <br />After considerable discussion regarding each of the separate reclamation and <br />revegetation issues the following actions were taken: <br />It was MOVED that the bond be set at $232,500 on Pit 4, 85% of the Blue Book <br />Rate. SIDED and PASSED by a Vote of 3 for/2 opposed (Holder/Campbell). <br />It was MOVED that the bond amount be retained at $18,800, the same amount as <br />under the ~d permit, $200 per acre for 94 acres, on Pits 1, 2, 3 & 5. <br />SECONDED and PASSED UNANII+IOUSLY. <br />BOARD MEMBER, Sherman Blach, left the Board meeting. <br />It was MOVED that the costs of the geotechnical study and associated <br />engineering costs relating to the Backfill of the Pit 4 haul road and main <br />haul road are a reasonable item to be included in the bond amount. SECONDED <br />and PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />It was MOVED that the Board assess a $50,000 bond increment to this portion of <br />the bond and direct the Division, upon completion of the geotechnical study <br />and upon receipt of an application from Rockcastle Company with evidence that <br />the study has been completed, to act expeditiously to remove that portion of <br />the bond from the total bond. SECONDED and PASSED UNANI1~10USLY. <br />It was MOVED that the Board grant the permit with the stipulations and the <br />bond ad,7ustments as fixed during this hearing. SECONDED and PASSED <br />UNANIMOUSLY. <br />AGENDA ITEM 78 - FORhIAL PUBLIC HEARING, ROCKCASTLE COMPANY, CONTINUED: <br />All persons wishing to present testimony were sworn. <br /> <br />It was MOVED that the formal public hearing of Rockcastle Company relative to <br />Notices~iolation C-84-115 and C-84-145 be continued to the January Board <br />Meeting, January 23, 1985, at 9:00 a.m. <br />
