This survey was conducted by Terry
Surveying on January 8, 2001. Four points were surveyed on that day; Pt A, Pt B, IN-l, and IN-
2. These data were compared to the data previously collected in May 1988 and April 1995. In
addition to the latest information, I reviewed the subsidence file and the files containing the
majority of the paperwork subject to the Tatum citizen compliant.
The Terry survey reports two sets of past survey elevations for three poin[s;IN-1, IN-2, and PT B
done in May 1988 and April 1995. The data reported matches exactly as represented in a copy of
the survey notes as found in our files (see attached with yellow highlights).
Some confusion may arise as to the location that is being referenced by the label "Pt A". Please
refer to the attached sketch included in the raw survey notes (page IS) from a survey taken May
25, 1988 and May 26, 1988 (surveyor unknown). The notes indicate the survey began at a
benchmark labeled 8BMN near [he mouth of Apache Canyon east of the Tatum ranch and the
First North workings. The surveyor then shot and relocated to a point along a fenceline south of
Highway 12 overlooking the Tatum ranch. This point is clearly labeled as "PT A". From PT A
the survey progressed to the pasture south of the Tatum house to a point labeled as PT B. It
appears that location and elevation data was collected for points IN-1 and IN-2. From the raw
data, the surveyor then calculated elevations for three points and included them on the following
page (page 16) of his notes.
Point Elevation Comments
PT B 7231.88
IN-2 7237.98
IN-1 7241.02
