Box 1009 <br />Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 <br />Re: Mid-COntlnent QLiarry <br />Dear Mr. Mottice: <br />303 ~ 2303 P. 01 III IIIIII I IIII~I II <br />This letter is intended as a follow up to the meeting <br />at your offices on April 29, 1996 concerning the Marble head <br />Quarry and the Mid-Continent Quarry. <br />The settlement plan discussed involves the following <br />primary items: <br />1. The Marble head Quarry would be assigned to <br />Garfield County and Garfield County would assume reclamation <br />responsibilities. Assignment would include the mining permit, <br />and the limestone fines at the Quarry. <br />2. The funds currently applied as reclamaeion surety <br />for the Marble head Quarry, a Certificate of Deposit in the gum <br />of 52,500, would then be applied to the reclamation bond for the <br />Mid-Continent Quarry. <br />3. DMG presently holds $7,000 to be applied against <br />reclamation at the Mid-Continent Quarry. The bond is set at <br />$13,213.
