remediation and to notify DMG if further movement occurred. Please
provide the remediation plan and notifications as required.
The following is a list of maintenance items noted in this
inspection:
1. Perform seasonal maintenance of Goat Trail, including removing
fallen rock, restoring of ditches, cleaning downdrains and
culverts.
2. Maintenance of liner and rip rap in outlet channels of West
Ridge Hydrologic Reconstruction Area.
3. Maintenance of culverts SK-1 and SK-5.
4. Repair small rilled areas in West Ridge reclamation.
5. Weed control is needed, particularly thistle. Although thistle
is prevalent across the site, the following areas have been noted
as needing attention: reclaimed road near super curve; all along
the corridor of West Ridge Drainage Reconstruction; top of West
Ridge reclamation; slope around downdrain #4 in Moffat Area; all
areas where sediment has been deposited into native vegetation (see
NOV C-97-007.)
6. Additional efforts need to be taken if areas that are currently
almost barren of vegetation haven't experienced significant plant
growth by the appropriate time for seeding. Specifically areas of
West Ridge, reclaimed explosives area, and road narrowing areas
should be monitored. Mulch is probably appropriate until vegetation
is established.
