(see enforcement actions - <br />NOV C-97-007.) <br />Tipple Pond 4 is discharging clear water at 30 gpm. <br />Backfill & Grading <br />No slumping or settling cracks were noted in West Ridge or Moffat <br />areas. <br />Support Facilities <br />Nearly all materials have been removed from the old boneyard except <br />for a shed, which should be addressed. <br />Small substation on Goat Trail near B-C Transfer site should be <br />removed and properly disposed unless the operator is approved to <br />retain the structure. <br />Topsoil <br />Topsoil stockpiles by North and South collections ditches are <br />stable. <br />General Mine Compliance <br />Some structures still remain which must be removed and properly <br />disposed or approved for retention. <br />Fish & Wildlife <br />A variety of wildlife was observed during the 2 days on site, <br />including a pair of sandhill cranes, a great blue heron, muskrats <br />at West Ridge pond, numerous elk and some mule deer, a great <br />abundance of rodents, including marmots, and ground squirrels, <br />and a variety of songbirds and raptors. <br />Revegetation <br />Weed Infestations: Thistle appears to be a problem in many <br />locations, including the following: the area near the curve of the <br />reclaimed portion of west Ridge Road; all around the West Ridge <br />drainage check dams; top of west Ridge; all around the Moffat <br />Pond; the slope around downdrain #4 in th Moffat area; <br />
