Asthe stockpiles sie reduced;' new sfocktiiles will be erected with: mined materials. <br />The clays to be mined lie in almost vertical strata (70 to 80 degrees from <br />horizontal) which are interbedded with sandstone and coal seams. Clay stockpiles will be <br />located in east of the mining operation in Stages 2, 4 & 5. Large volumes of sandstone <br />and coal, called interburden, in the clay will make the material unsuitable for the <br />manufacture of brick. <br />. Approximately 40 <br />percent of the pit volume is expected to produce wastes interburden. Interburden is <br />mined in conjunction with the clay and used to reclaim mined azeas. In the event there <br />are no areas to reclaim as interburden is being produced, excess interburden will lazgely <br />be stockpiled east of the mining operations along the northern, eastern or southern permit <br />boundaries in Stages 2, 4 & 5 or in the eastern azeas of Stages 2, 4 &5. The interburden <br />stockpiles located neaz topsoil stockpiles will be kept separate from the topsoil stockpiles. <br /> <br />Insert"B" moved <br />Oi--site equiPmentrnay include; but is not,timited to, dozers, scfapers; backhoes; front <br />end loaders; dump flocks and a water &~eiie>`truck <br />The main source of water in the minine azeas is exoected to come from minor <br />surface water runoffs. In the pits being mined, new it has been noted that water from <br />runoff generally percolates through the sand leaving the pits €nifFy relatively dry. ~xne~' <br />.
