-~ s

R E C L A M A T I O N G•L A N

CXH=yr21' C.
The primary reclamation plan for• the m R G Rit is for the
establishment of two stabilized lake shc~r•elines with vegetation
along the banks. The reclamation of the land will take place
concurrently with mining operations as phases are completed. The
north end of the mining area will be backfilled far the possible
development as homesites. An access road will be left between
the two lakes. Cottonwoods that border b~~th sides of this access
read will be preserved.
~i Grad i ng
Grading will be car•r•ied on to create topography sinriliar to pr•e-
mining conditions. The shoreline will be backfilled with
overburden and re,7ect material to create a stable surface. The
slope of the lake shoreline will be 3h:ly from existing ground
level to 10 feet below the water surface. A ch:ly slope will be
formed below 10 feet of the water surface to the bottom of the
pit. No highwalls will be left on the site. (See Fig~.rre E-1)
Packfilling will occur as each mining phase is completed. The
mining timetable is given in Table D-1 of Exhibit D. Gradinq
will be continuous and uniform, performed in a manner to minimize
erosion and siltation. The washing pond created in phase I will
not be graded immediately after mining. If it is not completely
backfilled from washing of mimed material upon completion of
mining, it will also be graded to the same slopes as the rest of
the pit.
No acid forming or toxic producing material are known to exist in
the overburden or materials to be mined. Refuse will not he
generated on the affected land nor will an re use e i u o
n the min ~ r•ainaoe systems will be protected from
pol a ion by proper grading.
No auger or• drill holes will be left after mining of the site.
No addits Or shafts are associated with this operation.
Slopes will be graded to be cornoatible with final land use. No
swimming facilities ar•e included in the reclamation plan. None
of the reclaimed land will be used for• agricultural purposes.
~~
E-:
~. i
