Weed control shall be practiced per the Oarav County Roadside Weed Control Plan.
RECLAMATION IIVIPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE ~_.~ap
Stage 1 area slopes reclamation c.~.~r (3.52 acres)
begins in the extraction process with excavating the RUNOFF CONTROL BENCH Ito'-tz wlael
backslope to the specified 2-horizonal to 1-vertical ryp. x~ection
finished slopes, and by incorporating the forest ,e„e°,_,z~ z;~ ,°p.
access road and the runoff control benches into a as°eye`~e x=:< `',
the slope during mining operatons. Topsoiling of the finished slope may ;~~ °-o ._ ~o ° _. o .
w.
begin when the slopebank excavation is finished (at ``~ o o ~ ° .. o .. o O
2:1 slope) down to the upper "run-con" bench (elev. - '~~ ° - o _ p . .. o _
7,455). Topsoil from the existing stockpile in the sieP. z,+ . ~ ... o.. o .. GO .. o
central-east portion of the Stage 1 area is to be
hauled via the forest access road and dozed down
the excavated slope at a 6- to 12-inch depth just to the upper bench. The flat portions of each bench shall be
left bare of topsoil to better facilitate percolation of surface water nmoff into the subsoil. Each bench shalt
be graded 3% to 5% into the slope to form a water retention ditch that is level end-to-end. Access by trucks
or scrapers for continued topsoiling of Stage 1 area below the upper bench (as soon as its mining is
complete) may be via the upper runoff control bench. Approximately 4,260 cubic yards of topsoil is
available from two on-site stockpiles for topsoiling Stage 1 area slopes (excepting road and benches) at
approximately 3/4-foot deep.
Reclamation topsoiling of the Stage 2 area finished sideslopes (33/4 acres), exclusive of road & benches shall
begin in a similar manner as soon as the downslope excavation of that stage proceeds down to the first
stormwater control bench (Elev. 7450). Topsoil for that effort (3,932 CY) shall come from the relocated
stockpile in the easterly area of the current pit floor and from off-site soils augmentation. Access for
hauling such topsoil shall be the middle forest access road. Topsoiling of the entire flat pit floor shall be
delayed until completion of the entire mine (all stages} in order to utilize that level space for continued
processing, stockpiling, mining, and associated gravel pit operations as the extraction progresses.
Stage 3 area slopes (2Y2 -ac.) shall be topsoiled in a similaz manner to Stage 2 azea slopes from augmented
topsoil stockpiles (3,000 CY) from the temporary pit floor.
Stage 4 azea slopes above the 7260-foot elevation bench shall be topsoiled by dozing up the slope, as soon
as the extraction has progressed to the 7260-foot elevation level and before continuing extraction below that
level. sideslopes below that bench level shall be topsoiled by hauling soils from augmented stockpiles via
that bench and dozing down the slope only after completion of material extraction from the Stage 4 area.
The Pit floor flat & level Processing & Stockpiling area in the mid-pit area shall at the completion of all
mining and removal of products and equipment, be rip-loosened to a 1-foot depth and topsoiled with Yz- to
1-foot of topsoil from the pit floor topsoil stockpile.
RECLAMATION SPECIFICATIONS ~,.~
Final Grading -
Pit Backslopes: 2-Horiz to 1-Vert (topsoiled and revegetated)
Stormwater Runoff Control Benches: -3% to -5% (un-topsoiled)
File: E 10urayCO 1 DailasGrav l 112AmentlApy ZI
07/27N3
